Payments, Insurance, & Reimbursements
Brainchild Neurology is an out-of-network, direct pay practice. Payment is made at the time of your visit, and we’ll provide an itemized invoice (superbill) for you to submit to your insurance. In most cases, families with out-of-network benefits can receive some reimbursement directly from their insurance company.
Our team is also happy to help you understand your insurance’s policies and provide the information you need to check your out-of-network coverage before your appointment. We can also guide you through the process of submitting for reimbursement.
Developmental Neurology Appointment - First Visit - 80 minutes
For assessment, diagnosis, and establishment of care for: Autism, ADHD, Developmental Delay, Sensory Processing Disorder, Behavioral Difficulties

Your first appointment is an 80 minute visit that allows time for a thorough evaluation, review of your child’s history, a neurological examination, and discussion of your concerns. Dr. Stomel reviews paperwork and any prior assessments, teacher reports, and school correspondence when relevant. He will listen carefully, explain findings clearly, and create a personalized care plan. Genetic testing is available as a part of this appointment if appropriate. You’ll leave with a deeper understanding of next steps and ongoing support from our team. You will receive a copy of the doctor’s note once complete.

Neurological Appointment - First Visit - 60 minutes
For assessment, diagnosis, and establishment of care for Migraine and Headache, Seizure, Tics, Movement Disorders, Concussion, Cerebral Palsy, and other Neurological Conditions.

Your first appointment is a 60 minute visit that allows time for a thorough evaluation, review of your child’s medical history, and discussion of your concerns. Dr. Stomel will perform an exam, review symptoms, and order any labs or relevant scans. He will explain findings clearly, and create a personalized care plan. Genetic testing is available as a part of this appointment if appropriate. You’ll leave with a deeper understanding of next steps and ongoing support from our team.

Adult Headache and Migraine - First Visit - 60 minutes
For assessment, diagnosis, and establishment of care for Migraine and Headache in an adult patient
Your first appointment is a 60 minute visit that allows time for a thorough evaluation, review of your medical history, and discussion of your concerns. Dr. Stomel will perform an exam, review symptoms, and order any labs or relevant scans. He will explain findings clearly, and create a personalized care plan including possible medication options, lifestyle adjustments, trigger monitoring, and other relevant recommendations such as neuromodulation or Botox for Migraine. You’ll leave with a deeper understanding of next steps and ongoing support from our team.

Follow Up Visit - 30 minutes
Follow-up visits for all established patients are typically 30 minutes and focus on reviewing progress, adjusting treatment plans, and addressing any new questions or challenges. These visits are designed to keep care on track and make sure your family continues to feel confident and supported.
Telehealth follow-up visits are an option in most cases, please specify your preference upon booking.

The majority of appointments fall into these two categories. Some procedures, such as Botox for migraines, bill differently. We also conduct evaluations, such as for ADHD. Please reach out for more information.
Headaches and Migraine Clinic for Adults appointments have the same appointment prices and policies.
