Meet our Team
Dr. Zev Stomel, MD
Dr. Zev Stomel is a board-certified pediatric neurologist with a special interest and focus in headache and migraine care for children and young adults.
He has expertise in treating the full range of neurologic conditions in patients from birth through early adulthood. This includes neurogenetic syndromes, brain malformations, headaches, movement disorders, seizures, syncope, and neurodevelopmental conditions like ADHD or Autism Spectrum Disorder, among many other neurologic conditions.
He is passionate about finding practical, evidence-based solutions as well as designing individualized treatment plans that help patients thrive on their own terms.
Dr. Stomel completed his pediatric neurology training at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, where he trained in hospital, outpatient clinic, and subspecialty settings including epilepsy, rare disease, and neuromuscular clinics and spent time training with toxicologists and neuro-ophthalmologists. His research there focused on the genetic and environmental causes of Autism Spectrum Disorder and on delving further into the as-yet unclassified subtypes of Autism. He gave multiple lectures on topics ranging from the newest research on febrile seizures as well as on neurogenetic, inflammatory and autoimmune neurologic conditions.
He earned his medical degree from SUNY Downstate College of Medicine and was awarded the John Conley Scholarship in Clinical and Translational Research Ethics while developing and teaching a bioethics curriculum for medical students. He holds a Masters in Bioethics from Albert Einstein College of Medicine/Cardozo School of Law.
Before medical school, he studied Neural Science at New York University with a minor in Child and Adolescent Mental Health and was involved in research on the neurobiology of cognition as well as computational neuroimaging.
At Brainchild Neurology, Dr. Stomel brings a calm, thoughtful approach to every encounter, taking time to listen, explain, and collaborate with families. His goal is simple: to bring clarity and confidence to complex care and to help each patient thrive in daily life.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time outdoors, practicing yoga, and exploring new recipes with his wife, Arielle, and their two children.

Her goal is to make medical care feel clear, personal, and genuinely welcoming.
With a background in design and business development, Arielle approaches every project with curiosity, precision, and care. She believes that design is not only aesthetic but emotional, a way to create environments that help people feel at ease and understood.
Outside of work, Arielle finds joy in hands-on creative projects, from painting to DIY and woodworking. She loves the process as much as the finished piece and enjoys learning new skills and creative techniques to experiment with.
Arielle lives in New Jersey with her husband, Zev, and their two children.
